AECshort forAcceptable Exposure Concentration - Acceptable Exposure Concentration

The AECshort forAcceptable Exposure Concentration specifies the maximum estimated concentration of a substance at which no unacceptable local effects are expected to occur in the respiratory tract, on the skin or in the gastrointestinal tract. The AECshort forAcceptable Exposure Concentration is currently derived as a route-specific value (by inhalation, possibly oral and/or dermal) primarily for biocidal agents.
