FAQ to the BfR of 11 June 2014

The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) is often asked about the possible health risks of hormones in meat and milk. This involves questions about hormones which occur naturally in meat as well as questions about hormone preparations used with livestock. There is also discussion about the possible health risks after consuming meat originating from animals from non-European Union countries in which different legal regulations apply.
