With the relaunch, the BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment offers a responsive, user-friendly and accessible platform that is optimised for both mobile devices and computers. “Our legal mandate is to scientifically assess health risks and inform the public about them,” says Professor Andreas Hensel, President of the BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment. “With the new website, we are making these findings even more accessible so that risks can be better categorised and informed decisions can be made.” Professor Dr Gaby-Fleur Böl, Head of the Risk Communication Department, emphasises: “Openness, transparency and reliability are principles of risk communication. The new BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment website as the most important communication channel is a cornerstone of our work.” The continuously increasing number of users shows just how popular BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment topics are: The website was visited over four million times (4,523,170 visits) in 2024 – an increase of 13% compared to the year prior.
