Project description:

Software solutions become increasingly important for the daily work of One Health professionals in today’s world. The One Health community deals with multi-sectorial and interdisciplinary challenges covering the range from newly emerging threats, e.g., SARS-CoV-2, to endemic hazards, e.g., Salmonella. This One Health European Joint Programme (OHEJP) Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) Satellite Workshop Online Software Fair informed researchers and One Health professionals of new digital solutions and tools that support data generation, data integration and data analysis tasks. It also provided a platform for software developers to present new or advanced features of existing software solutions.

The online software fair on 7th June 2021 was split into two sessions. In the first part of the event eight digital solutions and software tools were presented in the form of pitch presentations by selected presenter of the OHEJP consortium to provide a brief overview on each tool to all workshop participants. This was followed by the second part of the event, where each software tool was presented in a breakout room with presentations, hands-on exercises and discussions. Participants could join three different sessions as they please to get detailed information on three different software tools. The event was accompanied by an abstract book which is publicly available on the OHEJP website and in the journal ARPHA Conference Abstracts.
