
Welcome to the 13th BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment-Summer Academy on Risk Assessment and Risk Communication in the area of Food Safety!
The 13th BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment-Summer Academy 2025 will be conducted by highly qualified and experienced BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment-scientists as well as external experts with profound and long-standing experience in the assessment and communication of chemical or microbial risks. The course is intended for members of staff of public organisations engaged in food and feed safety, who already have experience in risk assessment analysis. The participants will gain deeper understanding in risk assessment analysis and in risk communication measures. Consequently this BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment-Summer Academy is from professionals to professionals.
The first BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment-Summer Academy was held in 2012. In the last 10 years more than 1000 participants from over 70 different countries took part in this professional training. The 13th BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment-Summer Academy will be open to participants from institutes engaged in risk assessment of food.
The 13th BfR-Summer Academy 2025 will be a pure on-site event in Berlin.
The number of participants is limited to 30.
Requirements of participation:
You work at a public institution.
- You have an academic background in biology, chemistry, medicine, veterinary medicine, toxicology or other relevant disciplines.
- You have already comprehensive professional experience in risk assessment analysis.
- You have a very good command of the English language (equivalent to the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English [CAE] or TOEFL®).
- You have a basic knowledge of statistics.
Fees for the two-week BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment-Summer Academy including lunch and coffee breaks on course days as well as welcome dinner and social event are 550 Euro.
Please note: travel costs, accomodation and all other costs are not covered by the fee.
