Project description:

A European-wide web-based survey will form the basis of ENCOMRAN and the in-depth analysis of data obtained from the survey aim to enable knowledge transfer, not only between the partners included in the ENCOMRAN consortium but also other European countries. Knowledge transfer will be facilitated through repeated interactions between consortium members and end-users outside of the consortium e.g. in the form of digital and physical meetings and participation in the scenario-based evaluation of the guidance document. Participant countries will also receive specific short reports where their respective answers in the survey may be related to summary results of the participating countries. It is our hope that this will encourage users outside of the consortium to take an active part of ENCOMRAN and the knowledge gained within all parts of the project. ENCOMRAN aims to answer the following questions: "Can we create a guidance document that facilitates the communication between risk managers and risk assessors before, during and after a risk assessment in order to ensure that the outcome of the risk assessment gives the best support possible to the risk manager in making an informed decision?" and, "Will the communication need to be adapted in scenarios involving decisions based on multiple criteria e.g. using methods such as multi criteria decision analysis".
