With the IUCLID platform, EFSA, in cooperation with ECHA, aims to provide a tool to facilitate the preparation of applications for EU plant protection product active substances. Special tools are provided to make it easier for the applicant to prepare a dossier and to prevent multiple entries. These include, among others: Validation assistants, which check the completeness of a dossier depending on its submission type, enable a full text search and offer confidentiality notes already during the dossier creation. In this way, the previous CADDY system used for the submission of applications is to be replaced and the publication process accelerated in accordance with the European Transparency Regulation. Within the framework of the EFSA project, the BfR department "Safety of Pesticides" is supporting the integration and implementation of IUCLID in existing process structures.
