Project description:

This joint project of ETH Zurich, HU Berlin and BfR is about creating a platform for people who do scientific work with farm animals. The focus is on the exchange of ideas for establishing methods to minimise stress on animals and thus promote their well-being. Participants from agricultural practice are explicitly welcome. The exchange is facilitated by annual colloquia, which take place alternately in Zurich and Berlin. The meetings are held in hybrid form. The BfR is responsible for the content on refinement in these colloquia, in particular through expertise in modern training methods in laboratory animal science, which are presented in workshops and lectures.
