Description and Objective

Development and evaluation of methods for severity assessment in animal experiments. Two cumulative doctoral theses were conducted as part of the project. The subprojects include various preference tests, ranking methods, consumer demand tests, and automated behavioral data collection.

Result

Different procedures for severity assessment were established and validated. In addition, perspectives for better housing and experimental conditions were identified. The results were published in a total of 13 scientific publications.
