Unit Crisis Prevention and Coordination

One of the responsibilities of the unit is the coordination of the committee system at the BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment. This network of scientific experts advises the BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment on risk assessment of food, feed, chemicals, articles of daily use and other consumer products. Through the BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment-committees, the expert knowledge available in Germany is consolidated at the highest possible scientific level and made available to international bodies.

The Unit provides support for the chair persons of the BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment committees and advises the committees on fundamental issues.
