Berlin City

Berlin is the capital city of Germany and one of the 16 federal states of Germany. It has a population of approx. 3.3 million with more than 180 nationalities and is located in North-Eastern Germany on the river Spree. With an area of about 900 km², this city has vast green areas and lakes. There is an excellent public transport system (bus, metro, city train, tram). Berlin has a temperate oceanic climate with an average high temperature of 18-20 °C in September.

Berlin was documented for the first time in the 13th century and is a city of culture, politics, media, and science. On 9th November 2014, the citizens of Berlin celebrated the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall symbolising the reunification of Germany after the Second World War.
