During the EPRW 2008 we would like to give you the opportunity to learn more about your host city and their surroundings.

Excursion to the castle Sanssouci on Thursday, June 5, 2008

On Thursday, 5 June 2008 an excursion to the city Potsdam including a visit of the famous castle Sanssouci will take place. The busses will leave at 8 a.m. from the Estrel Convention Center. Potsdam is a charming city with a great mix of countless historical sights and a great nature around.

Our trip to Potsdam starts with a guided visit (in English) of the castle Sanssouci including a walk around the park. For further information about Sanssouci, please have a look at the attached file "Excursion to Potsdam Sanssouci".

After a typical German lunch the bus will take you to the city center and you will have time to look around the picturesque  downtown of Potsdam on your own. For further information about Potsdam´s sights, please have a look at the external link.

The excursion includes:

• bus transfer from the Estrel hotel to Potsdam and back, including all transfers within Potsdam
• a 2 hour guided visit of the park and the castle Sanssouci
• typical German lunch (buffet)
• free drinks (non alcoholic drinks and beer) during lunch

The trip will end at 5 p.m.

City tour "Berlin by night" on Tuesday, June 3, 2008

A very good possibility to get to know Berlin is a tour by bus through the city. This guided tour in English will start at 7.15 p.m. in front of  the Estrel Convention Center and will last approximately 3 hours.

Discover Berlin after sunset when most of the sights like Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmenmarkt, Potsdamer Platz, Museum Island, new Main Station, the Reichstag (seat of the German Parliament) or the Fernsehturm (the highest building in the city) are illuminated.

During the tour you will also learn more about the history of Berlin.

Conference Dinner on Monday, June 2, 2008

The Conference Dinner will take place on Monday, 2 June, 2008 at “Schloss Diedersdorf”. This palace is located in the “Märkische Heide” approximately 25 kilometers away from the Estrel Convention Center.

It was first mentioned in 1798. Nowadays the beautiful, well reconstructed castle as well as the annexed buildings like the “Landgasthof”, the “Schmiede” and the “Kuhstall” are hotels and restaurants.

The bus shuttle will start at 7 p.m. from the Estrel Convention Center.
