Items of clothing and the related impregnating and other anti-mildew agents are commodities within the intendment of the Food and Feed Act (LFGB). According to § 30 of this Act it is prohibited to manufacture or treat commodities in such a manner that they are able to damage health. Since, however, the legislator has not prescribed either an authorisation or notification obligation, the regulatory bodies do not have comprehensive knowledge about these products.
