National Agricultural Library (NAL)

The National Agricultural Library (NAL) is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. NAL is one of the world's largest agricultural libraries. The literature database AGRICOLA is provided by NAL. AGRICOLA contains approx. 1.5 million documents, including topics such as animal welfare, keeping of working animals, animal production and laboratory animals. NAL has set up projects on expert thesaurus and classifications, e.g. the NAL Animal Use Alternatives Thesaurus and the NAL Agricultural Thesaurus.
