Unit Information Technology

The Unit is the service provider for Executive Management and the Institute departments in all areas of information technology. It seeks to provide efficient and economical IT support for the Institute’s tasks. Unit 35 focuses on the following main areas:

• Dealing with basic activities (amongst other things IT framework concept and budgetary planning) and co-ordination of information technology
• Management of IT projects (IT methods, IT projects) amongst other things project planning, implementation and co-ordination, drawing up of calls for tender/contracting terms, evaluation of offers, operation of IT processes
• Operation (for example configuration, administration, operating) of IT systems (for instance servers, workplace computers, networks)
• Guidance for IT users and advice on using IT methods
