Locations
The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has four locations in Berlin. Its headquarters are in Berlin-Jungfernheide, Max-Dohrn-Str. 8-10, the second location is in Berlin-Dahlem, Thielallee 88-92, the third location is in Berlin-Marienfelde, Diedersdorfer Weg 1, the fourth location is also in Berlin-Marienfelde, Alt-Marienfelde 17-21.
The buses X11 and M11 connect the locations in Berlin.
How to get:
from Dahlem to Marienfelde
- Leave the main entrance of BfR on Thielallee and head for the crossroads "Thielallee/Unter den Eichen"
- On the opposite side of the street, to the right of the crossroads, either take bus M48 direction "Tiergarten/Philharmonie“ or bus 101 direction "Turmstraße"
- Continue for two stops to the crossroads “Unter den Eichen/Drakestraße“.
- If you have taken bus M48, cross over the road “Unter den Eichen“ before you reach the crossroads. On Drakestraße take bus X11 (direction S Schöneweide/Sterndamm) or M11 (direction Marienfelde) and get off at the stop "Nahmitzer Damm/Marienfelder Allee",
- If you have taken bus 101, cross "Drakestraße" at the bus stop and take bus X11 (direction S Schöneweide/Sterndamm) or bus M11 (direction Marienfelde) and get off at the stop "Nahmitzer Damm/Marienfelder Allee".
- From here the footpath to BfR is signposted.
The journey from Dahlem to Marienfelde takes about 30 minutes.
from Marienfelde to Dahlem
- Take the signposted footpath to the crossroads "Nahmitzer Damm/Marienfelder Allee"
- Cross over Nahmitzer Damm, to the right of Marienfelder Allee - Take bus X11 or M11 (direction Dahlem/U Dahlem Dorf and Waldfriedhof) and get off at the stop “Unter den Eichen/Drakestraße“.
- From here you can either take bus 101 (direction Zehlendorf/Sachtlebenstr.) or bus M48 (direction Zehlendorf/Busseallee).
- Cross over Drakestraße and on the street “Unter den Eichen“ take bus 101 or bus M48.
- Get off at the stop “Unter den Eichen/Thielallee“.
- Cross over Thielallee and turn left onto Thielallee.
- BfR is located about 100 m further down on the right.
The journey from Marienfelde to Dahlem takes about 30 minutes.
