BfR Committee for Nutrition, Dietetic Products, Novel Foods and Allergies

The BfR Committee for Nutrition, Dietetic Products, Novel Foods and Allergies supports the BfR in its tasks of formulating scientific opinions on food safety and consumer protection with regard to human health. It also gives scientific advice to the federal ministries and the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) and shares its scientific expertise with international bodies.

The committee also advises the BfR on specific issues related to nutritional risks and allergies caused by food.

Members of the BfR Committee

Expert scientists - e.g. from universities, the medical field, industry, regional Land investigation offices and federal research agencies – were appointed as members of the BfR Committee for Nutrition, Dietetic Products, Novel Foods and Allergies.
