Berlin City

Since German reunification in 1990, Berlin has been the capital of Germany. However, the city has a much longer history going back to the 13th century.

Berlin has a population of 3.4 million and covers an area of 892 square kilometres which statistically means there are 3,809 Berliners to every square kilometre. Based on these figures, Berlin is the largest city in Germany. Currently, people from more than 180 different nations could tell you "Ich bin ein Berliner". Join us for a week!

Berlin has more museums than rainy days and in September you may expect a temperate oceanic climate with an average temperature of 18-20 °C. A total of 175 museums, more than 50 theatres, around 300 cinemas and 190 clubs and discotheques provide entertainment for you and accompanying persons. More than 4.650 restaurants and 900 bars ensure your physical wellbeing by serving the local Bratwurst and international meals and beverages.
